As Siena prepares for the ACHA D2 Showcase this weekend, which is scheduled to include a Sunday morning game against the University of Kentucky, I stumbled across this unfortunate piece of new From Lex18.com:

UK Hockey Player Dies Following Accident With Bus



A member of the University of Kentucky hockey team died Monday afternoon from injuries he received in a car crash Sunday.

Taylor Vit was rushed to the hospital Sunday evening after he slammed into a LEXTRAN bus on Newtown Pike. Seven riders were also taken to the hospital.

The coroner's report states Vit died of head trauma.

Vit was originally from Pennsylvania. He was a starting forward on UK's hockey team.
