Twitter and USCHO: A Request

Swansong

Religion is Poison
I'm starting a thread because it's more attention-getty.

In his infinite wisdom, the world's richest chimp has blocked access to tweets unless you're logged in to Twitter. Most of us aren't logged in, so if you post a twitter link, it's inacessible.

So my request is that if you post a link to twitter, to screen shot and/or copy and paste the content.

Grassy a$s.

Grassy a$s.

it’s more than that. He’s limited posts, direct messages, likes, retweets, etc

I'm going to sticky this for a couple of weeks; or until Elmo changes the policy yet again; or Twitter goes the way of Myspace and Friendster - whichever comes first.

A request by a user to ask for restraint in using TwitterXhole has turned into a complete erasure of the site’s ability to be linked.

That’s not a good look for USCHO.

I mean USCHO has basically quit trying since they launched this latest version of the board. Remember when they pretended this was only temporary? They are literally using a software that is so crappy and cheap you can't use emoticons on them. The board they used in the early "00s" was better than this piece of crap.

True.

X’s recently updated privacy policy informed its users it would now collect biometric data as well as users’ job and education history, Bloomberg spotted earlier this week. But it appears that’s not the only thing that X plans to do with user data. According to an update to another section of the policy, the company additionally plans to use the information it collects and other publicly available information to help train its machine learning and AI models, it says.

The change was noticed by Alex Ivanovs of Stackdiary, who has a history of finding notable updates in the terms of service of tech companies, having previously found AI-related updates in Brave and Zoom. His post is now trending on Y Combinator’s discussion forum Hacker News.
