UMDsimmerdown cannot believe no one has started this thread yet. Thanks to tSchedule, there is an extra week before tUMD travels to Houghton to make tMisfits cry and realize their place in tWCHA. tBulldogs are beginning an 8 game road stretch and won't play a home game until January 20th, 2012. tHuskies play against some crap-*** EZAC school called St. Lawrence this weekend.

UMD is 9-3-2, averaging 4.00 goals per game while allowing 2.36 per game against the 4th toughest schedule.
MTU is 7-4-2, averaging 3.08 goals per game while allowing 2.42 per game against the 33rd toughest schedule (which is about to get weaker after Larry comes to town).

I predict three points for tBulldogs. #roadwarriors #allwedoiswin #movinlikebernie

We have a series this weekend, so simmer down.

The Monster agrees with this, it is a bit early to start talking in the third person. **** Holiday Creep. The Monster thinks its bad enough that stores start putting up Christmas stuff right after the Monster's most favorite holiday of Halloween. 2 weeks of talking in the third person is going to be a bit much for the Monster. The Monster fears that he'll even run out of UMD football stuff to annoy the UMD fans with.

Huskies fans will remind those from tUMD that they are "like minded" with Denver who expected four points when visiting Houghton and turned out to be lucky to get one point. Tech fans hope that tBulldogs will enjoy their woopin' in the UP before they slink away to tNaCHo. And regarding strength of schedule, Tech does not feel bad that WI, Denver, and other "top programs" can't get their act together and win more games. tTech can only control the games they play. tHuskies played the "tough schedule" card plenty of other years to justify sub-ten win seasons so they might as well let someone else use it for a while.

The Monster realized long ago that all of the winning by Grand Valley Football has made GVSU fans quite arrogant, almost to the level of say a Michigan or Minnesota hockey fan perhaps. The Monster has always worked hard at trying to remember to be humble, so that the Woofing Gods don't punish the Monster with a season where the Lakers don't make the playoffs.

The Monster is now kinda sad that this weekend series is now in Houghton and not in Duluth, as the Husky fans could at least pregame Saturday at the playoff football game that Saturday and pull for the GLIAC and Wayne State. The Warriors stand a good shot of making the championship game this year if they can just get past Duluth next weekend.

The Monster fires back with the fact that it's usually a lot more cheaper to get drunk when one buys a case of cans and drink it out somewhere instead of ordering drinks at a bar. Also, one can cook their one meals if one brings a grill and some yummy meat products. And it makes a easy place where there can be a lot of meet and greats with everybody.

And the Monster would like to point out that this is third person Tech-UMD Week, where there's a lot of overall silliness that has little to do with hockey anyways.
