Tucson, AZ

Original Lawson Lunatic
I heading to Tucson next week, and again two weeks later for work. Looking for ideas of great places to eat and some nightlife. I know there's not likely to be anyone on here that lives there, but at least some people who have been there would be helpful in getting me some ideas.

Re: Tucson, AZ

I asked about moving to Tucson in the summer and got some good answers -- IIRC one of us (Old Pio maybe?) lives there.

Do you remember what the thread was called, or have the link? I can't find it in search.

Re: Tucson, AZ

I live in the Phoenix area, but get down to Tucson once in awhile for work. I can't help much on specific restaurants and such, but can answer some general questions if that helps.

Since I'll be there for work, and long days at that, all I'm interested in is good eats and maybe a cool bar or two. No sight seeing for me, sadly.

Never mind, it was Bob, and I lied, he's in Phoenix (boo) not Tucson (yay). I believe the gist of our conversation was "how the hell can a person live through a day it never drops below 115?"

But, Tucson is cooler, by maybe 5-10 degrees! Downright balmy! :)

I was in Tucson two weeks ago. We went to the Boondocks and Bison Witches. They were both pretty cool and completely different. Depending on what night you go there may be some pretty good looking women there. Remember University of Arizona is in Tucson and the co-ed's make for a pretty nice atmosphere.

The bars near campus I went to this summer were pretty lame. Very much a sit down at a table and drink.
