If there were a "We're Ready to Play Some Hockey" award, it could be shared by McGill University and the University of British Columbia, both of whom will play back-to-back-to-back games against NCAA opponents over the first three days of October.

Neither one is picking on a bunch of lightweights. McGill will face Denver, Colorado College, and Air Force, while British Columbia will play Nebraska-Omaha, Minnesota, and Minnesota State.
