Getting the opportunity to see a lot of folks I haven't seen in a number of years over the past weekend, Anti-List.

This hot, humid weather...LIST.

Have a good week folks and a safe holiday weekend.

Unknown illness for my "youngest" Brylin. Have already spent $700 on vet bills and have to come up with $2200 by Wednesday to pay for ct scan and possible biopsy. Her being sick and me being completely broke right now goes on the List. Her sister may have had way more trips to the vet in her lifetime, but she timed hers to when I had money and didn't have to stress.

I'm still hoping for a good diagnosis though the vet wasn't real hopeful. I'm not going to put her through a lot of pain just to prolong things. I don't believe in that for humans or pets.

Having an excellent time last weekend with my friends in suburban Chicago: Anti-List.

Attending a beautiful wedding with a better reception, which included an open bar with wine and champagne at the table: Anti-List.

Getting the staples out of my arm: Anti-List.

Having the wound reopen while I was in Chicago, leading to a bloody mess all over my hotel room: List.

The staff at St. Alexius Medical Center: Anti-List.

Coming home: List.

Re: The List for Week of May 24, 2010

Been at the vet since 8 am. Tried to tell me they'd schedule the CT next week after doing nothing more than listening to her breathe & taking temperature. Protested. She's now in the back getting anesthesia for 1:30 CT. Cost estimate somehow jumped from $2200 to just under $3000. Apparently the first estimate didn't actually include any tests.

She also had a major baby poop style dump on the floor w/ a little blood and one huge hard piece. Hopefully that took care of the whole "abnormally full of poop" issue for good. Poor thing was so embarrassed about going on the waiting room floor and in public while mom was embarrased about walking around w/ it in a paper towel in her hand so she could show one of the nurses.

My Princess StinkyButt has lymphoma. Don't really have info beyond that. The surgeon who did the ct & took the samples for testing is passing all the info over to the cancer group who are supposed to call me tomorrow. From googling, I don't think I can choose treatment as it is just a prolonging and she is so tiny now and barely made it with the anesthesia yesterday (it dropped dangerously low so they weren't able to do all the tests). Just extra hard because she was super lively during the 5+ hours that we waited at the vet between the early appointment and the actual scan. Didn't seem sick at all.
