The List for Week of August 31, 2009

ajoyce02

Cake or Death?
Today at work, majorly LISTED.

Knowing I just need to survive tomorrow to get to my 6 day weekend, Anti-List.

Golf season has flown by way too fast, List.

Played in a 2 man scramble at Southern Hills in Farmington, MN this past weekend and finished tied for 1st in our flight, Anti-List. Sure we were in the lowest flight, but a win is a win!!

Won long drive, Anti-List (technically my dad won it but he wrote my name in).

I'm leaving work right now, ANTI-LIST.

Have a good rest of the week.

Overheating and antifreeze leakage: List
Probably not needing that vehicle much longer: Anti-List

Back at school: LIST and ANTI-LIST. It's good to be one step closer to doing what I've wanted to do all my life, but I wanted a longer summer break (3 weeks).

Re: The List for Week of August 31, 2009

My boss telling me before I punched out that after two days on the job, I'm already ahead of the curve is on The Anti-List. Though mostly, I think she's happy that she can shift her database migration project over to me and do a lot of catching up on daily IT tasks that have been lingering for a few weeks.

Oakland University cancels classes after professors strike is on The List.
Classes were supposed to start today. After nine months of wondering what was next, my better half finally had something to look forward to. Now, there are no classes until these people get their poop in a group. Never mind there are probably many people taking classes because they're UNEMPLOYED and they're ****y because they want to freeze or cut some pay and health benefits. Be thankful you have a job! ****...

My dentist trying to drill to China this morning is on The List. However, only charging me for a silver filling when he used a white one is definitely on the Anti-List.

Re: The List for Week of August 31, 2009

Walking into empty classrooms today is on THE MEGA LIST.
The idiots on the road that don't know right of way or what a solid white line means on the road, THE LIST.
Being back on a college campus to further my career is on the ANTI-LIST.

Still not being employed while professors whine about a small cut without looking at the larger picture........THE SUPER MEGA GEAR GRINDING LIST.

/list rant
(begin computer engineering maybe......soon?)

Re: The List for Week of August 31, 2009

Heh, my mom went to Oakland back in the mid-70s and she told me today that she showed up for class once when the profs decided to strike. Didn't know until some administrative pee-on came in and announced classes were cancelled.

You'd think, with all the PhDs floating around universities, that calmer, diplomatic heads would prevail and profs wouldn't feel a need to strike. Then again, I suppose we are talking about a lot of people who got their PhDs in the 60s/70s. Nothing like a good protest. ;)

Job is still on The Anti-List. We'll see how I feel in a month when this project I'm playing a big role in is in full swing.
