The "I can't believe there's no thread about Michigan's coaching search" thread.

Of course I'm referring to football. Or is there one, and I missed it?
Regardless, I'd like to see them hire Bob Nielson, although I realize that's probably a long shot.
Any other thoughts?

Nielson??? And I thought the idiot who called up the Ticket earlier today to suggest Singletary was just throwing shibby at the wall to see if it would stick.

Are you calling me an idiot, or Nielson? I have an issue with either, but if it's regarding Nielson, the guy has won at every level, so why not take a chance? I mean tOSU got Tressel from Youngstown State of all places. Hasn't turned out to be such a bad choice.
I know this is an extreme longshot, but I think he would be as good of a selection as any.

There's over 110,000 people on a half-dozen autumn Saturdays that disagree with you to the point of actually attending their home games. No other college football program can say that.

Rofl. Yeah, 110,000 people inside michigan care. Too bad no one outside the state has given a **** since Lloyd Carr's twilight season.

After living in Minnesota for the last 15 years, and seeing the Golden Gopher program in action, I know what you mean. That's why I'd like to see them hire Nielson.

No, the radio caller who called the Ticket yesterday to suggest Singletary. Seams like everybody there has been calling in and throwing shibby at the wall and seeing what sticks.

Me? I still think Michigan screwed up when they got Rich Rod when they could have gotten Brian Kelly for a song.

Kelly would not have been the answer. He may work out at Notre Dame. Michigan needed change, but not the kind that RR brought. They'll go back to what they know and at least become respectable again. No matter who they bring in next, no matter what they do on the field, they'll always have the detractors... like in this thread.
