Re: The HUGE increase in College Hockey players now in the NHL

Thats great news for college hockey fans as more top end talent is obviously choosing to play NCAA hockey... Though it doesn't prove that NCAA hockey is now better at developing talent than in the past, nor prove which league is the best route for development.

It wouldn't be that hard for someone with a lot of time to end the "best development league" debate. Simply calculate the % of 2nd rounders, 3rd rounders, ect, right down to the % of undrafted players that end up becoming NHL regulars from each league. Throw out the 1st rounders as most of them are headed the the NHL no matter what league they play in. That will give real evidence whether or not one league does a better job developing players. I suspect the results would be fairly even, but that's just a guess

Great meme :D

It is great to see the NCAA get more players into the NHL. It of course comes at a cost to our college programs as players are staying less and less for the full four years.
