Re: The Big Chill at The Big House

Obviously I will be attending this game as I am a huge Spartan fan. However I think these outdoor games are getting out of control...They were really cool when they first started because they were a novelty. However now there are so many of them that they are not as special anymore. The original Cold War was obviously amazing and the game at Lambeau and Fenway were good. But when is this going to end?

Re: The Big Chill at The Big House

Wisconsin did not sell out the game in Green Bay and they will be lucky to sell out just the lower bowl at Camp Randell next week. Fenway is not much bigger than a large NHL venue ( I think it is ~35K) so that is not very impressive in the big picture.

My point is that these things are not as "cool" as they were before.I would be happy to see 1 outdoor college game every 5 years or so.

The players on a rink in a 100,000 + stadium must look very very distant, but a great way to put a Big-Ten Hockey spin on the map.

the attendance for the fenway game was over 38K so double the size of an NHL arena, and it sold out in a matter of hours. its likely they couldve sold another 15-20k for the game.

actually the big house is probably the best football venue they could have this in since in reality its not all that "big" considering what it holds. having walked up and down the rows there before a game, id imagine the seats in the top row wont really be that terrible.

I hope it rains... and rains... and rains. And then I hope it rains some more.

Re: The Big Chill at The Big House

I get the updates from CHN sent to my cell phone. This morning it buzzed at about 9 telling me that Michigan and Michigan were playing another outdoor game. Glad to see the Wolverines are having an intersquad scrimmage..
