terrible video ads

Just some feedback, and perhaps to get some help.

For some reason, I'm getting barraged by multiple video ads at once- which interrupts my typing while posting.

They are random, as the content isn't really related to me- but that's not the issue. It's the fact that they seem to have loading problems, which causes them to try to reload. And that process is causing interruption problems.

If any moderators are watching- perhaps send a suggestion to whoever supplies the ads- as they are terrible to the point of really making this page a pain to be part of. Unless you get an ad blocker.

And given the choice between finding different, less intrusive ads vs. having them flat out blocked, well... that seems like an easy choice.

I think this site uses Google Ads, which dictates to its subscribers the ads that are played based upon whatever parameters are set. Unless the ad happens to be offensive, like a pro-atheist group trying to get ad space on a religious site, there's not much they can do. Perhaps I'm wrong. I hope I'm wrong.

It is annoying to be typing and then suddently be tossed out of the posting box in mid-word....I was wondering why that was happening lately, we now seem to have an explanation.

I can't even tell if it's an offensive ad- it shows sort of a "play" button, and just keeps trying to load it.

And when I roll over the "ad choice" part of the ad- I can't tell the system that there's an error in loading it. All I can sort of do is ad settings, which I have off- so they are random.

funny that it's a technical error instead of a offensive error.

So since nothing is being done, the only solution is an ad blocker.

Up until the last few months, I was ok with the ads- as they were not actually intrusive on using this board. Now they are not.

So I am forced to block them. Which hurts the revenue of this site.

Given there's nothing else I can do, well, so be it.
