St Scholastica....only team nickname that is not an animal of some sort would be my guess.

But an Eph is not a cow it's a man. They just have a purple cow for a mascot. And the purple cows now take a 2-1 lead.

But all the logos/mascots/symbols/thingamajigits are animals - except for CSS.

Eph is the name of the purple cow, which is named after Ephriam Williams

Not according to their website. There is nothing here that indicates the Purple Cow is called Eph.

Both the men's and women's athletic teams at Williams are referred to as Ephs in honor of Colonel Ephraim Williams. Only Ephs (rhymes with "chiefs) is used to refer to the Williams teams and not Lady Ephs for the women's teams. Purple Cows is also a term that is used to refer to Eph teams, but Ephs is the more commonly used reference.

I don't think I'd be in a big hurry to refer my womens' teams as purple cows, either.

Somebody I knew who taught there told me that the cow was named Eph, but official information trumps word of mouth every time.
