Suite for Tampa

Once again I am planning a suite for Tampa. Hopefully the price remains reasonable. In 2012 it was $375/person for all three games and food in the suite. If interested in staying in the loop on this, please email jhfhockey(at)gmail.com You aren't committed to anything. In 2012 we got pricing info in late December and had everything booked in January. With this being the second time through I am hopeful the time table will be moved up but we'll see.

From the 2012 experience, I can tell you:
Alcohol is available for purchase. It will be the only place in the arena where alcohol will be available.
Children under 2 do not require a ticket.
The view of the ice is spectacular.

Also, I have booked at the Hyatt out at the airport. It is 5.6 miles from Amalie Arena. When I tried to book close to the arena I found the area was sold out or started at $400/night. My entire stay will cost $500. They have a free shuttle service to anywhere within 3 miles - if a bunch of us stay there, they might consider a free trip to Amalie Arena for us. If there is interest I can see about reserving a block of rooms and securing that shuttle for us.

Re: Suite for Tampa

Keep me in the loop, it will depend on my work schedule. Hope you're able to make it down next year. I believe I'm still in your list.

Edit: I will mention that pregame, there is a very large, nice plaza of sorts adjacent to the entry. There WILL be beer sold there, amongst the fan fest and activities, although it is usually on the pricier side. There are places in the surrounding area as well to gather before hand.

I'll probably be interested again. It was a lot of fun last time, and it was a good deal for what you got, IMO.

Re: Suite for Tampa

I am planning to go. When the wife and I are in town for the Red Wing games we stay in Brandon. Casino and mall nearby. Quick trip via the Selmon into downtown.

Re: Suite for Tampa

So many criticized the NCAA when the first Tampa FF was announced. But Tampa sure proved to be a great host! Enjoy!!!

Not that the Selmon (also known as the Crosstown expressway, for those unfamiliar) is terribly expensive, but a friendly disclaimer that it IS a toll road. Sunpass or toll-by-plate. I feel it's well worth the cost to avoid SR-60 or I-275.

Brandon is a pretty nice area to stay, as you noted there is quite a bit there for ways to spend some time.

Unfortunately, as Priceless also noted, staying at one of the (few) hotels downtown is a pricey choice.

Re: Suite for Tampa

Hi, not sure if you have a list of fans that go every year with you. I would be interested in at least 2 tickets for the Suite. Please let keep me in mind. I took my son to his first Frozen Four this year and he can't wait to go back. Thank you.

Re: Suite for Tampa

There were about 8 of us in the suite last time in Tampa and since I moved down here, of course I'm interested in a suite again. Just let me know. Im pretty sure you have my email address still. Thanks!

There are a few that go every year but nothing is set in stone. If necessary, I can get two suites. We're getting close to that territory now. Just drop me a line at jhfhockey@gmail and I'll add you to the list.

If you got the email a few days ago then I have your email. If not, I no longer have your email. We're up to 19 on the list, so we may very well need those two suites!

I sent you a note but did not hear back. Do you need me to resend or are you waiting to respond?

I had already sent a group email before you had contacted me. You should have just gotten a response.

We are now up to 22 people who will be interested in 50+ tickets. A regular suite holds 18, a Super Suite holds 40, the Party Suite holds up to 130. When we get the final pricing from Amalie Arena we can decide which we want. If necessary I can book multiple suites.
