How do the St. Cloud fans feel about your schedule this year? It looks to be one of the toughest in College Hockey.

Even after a championship, on this weekend, they will always be #26. :p:D

Union hasn't lost in 21 games. I'd assume that would end this weekend.

Saint Cloud has ....
- 4 draft picks to our 1 late pick .... :eek:
- Jony Brodzinski who hurt us last year :eek:
- much older, average age 22y1m to our younger 21y2m :eek:
- heavier 190.26 to our 189.63 :eek:
- more experience 7 seniors to our 7 starting freshmen :eek:
- defeated and excellent Colgate team during the regular season which we were never able to do last year. :eek:
- 4 players from Illinois - we have none :)
- 4 players from Finland? Can we see their papers? :D
- good looking cheer leaders that can skate - we have none but we wish we had some ;)
- 16,200 students and is one of the largest schools in the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities system. We have 2000 and are a dinky little school in a .... well its not Palm Springs. :eek:
- Excellent Road Team :eek:
- Better Power Play 20.0 vs 18.8 :eek:
- Better Penalty Kill 85.7 vs 84.6 :eek:

Yep, we don't stand a chance ..... can we reschedule until after the New Year to give our young in's some time to mature?

Nice to see you smiling again after complaining that the world isn't fair when Union won the National Championship.

As for this coming weekend, I don't really know what to expect. As other Union posters have noted, the team has exceeded expectations so far. It'd obviously be nice to sweep, but I'd be content with a split.

We too will take a split. Since neither game will be on nchc.tv and I don't think I'll even get to listen to either game, let's just give you guys a 3-1 win Fri, us 2-1 Sat and move on to the Goofers.

Hey St. Cloud:
Its been a while since you have been out this way .... 2006 I think. We have an all-time 1-2-2 record against you. We are the NY Union, not the one in Kentucky. I was thinking that you would be back out this way when you play QU for two later but that is in your barn. Gutsy Schedule. Looks like you have a tough league also with Denver, Miami, North Dakota, WM and MD.

This should be a great weekend of hockey. Does Union have a video internet feed for their home games? If not this might be the only weekend all year Husky fans can't watch their squad either on TV or on the internet. Being a long time fan we are spoiled compared to the way it use to be. :)

So what is the scoop on Union this year? Did you graduate a lot of people from last year's title team? Are you guys thinking you ahve another run at a title?

We do have a video feed. I think its about $7.00 per game. It has been improved but is no where near what most folks expect. It will show up on our schools hockey web page on Friday. I will keep an eye out for it.

We installed new lighting which makes the game much better but its still not at the quality most D-1 programs have come to expect. The audio can be a problem.

We are all very excited about this team as we lost a great senior class and Ghost and if that was not bad enough, three of our starting players were suspended so we came out of the blocks expecting a disaster. Most of us were only hoping that maybe we could make it to the ECAC league tournament this year. We still do not know how good we are but the team is exceeding expectations thus far. Of course its way early and the ECAC will be very tough this year. We will have no excuses come this weekend because we will be at full strength for the first time and seven of our freshmen have played a ton, are making lots of mistakes. No way we expected to be 4-0.

We have faced some some very tough physical teams and that does not bother us but we are not as fast as last year so I see us as having problems with SCSU's speed. We lost two first team all-american defensemen and defense is a work in progress as well. I think overall it will be the best hockey this coming weekend :)

You folks were a great road team last year. Do you think that will carry over?

I believe its $7.95 per game. Video is so-so and audio can skip out now and then. As bad as it is, it is a lot better than last year. Try and purchase a few hours before the game. It gets backed up right around game time.
