Zoe Sternberg, a junior forward for St. Catherine (MIAC), was serving as an athletic trainer at the Premiere Prep League championship when a player collapsed with no contact. The player was not breathing, and Sternberg performed CPR for 3 minutes until the player was revived. In a statement, Sternberg revealed it was only her second day as a trainer. The news story says there were multiple AEDs in the building and one was brought out, but it did not need to be used. The unnamed HS senior was taken to Mercy Hospital in Coon Rapids where she was treated.
