FWIW, the Midwest and West have 31 titles, not 30. (North Dakota - 7, Denver - 7, RPI - 2, Michigan - 9, BC - 4, CC - 2)
What's also interesting is that the East and Northeast only have 5 title game appearances (New Hampshire - 2, Miami - 1, Notre Dame - 1, Minnesota Duluth - 1). The Midwest and West combine for 50 title game appearances (Boston College - 10, North Dakota - 12, Denver - 10, CC - 5, Michigan - 11, RPI - 2).
If we look at Frozen Fours...the West and Midwest combine for 92 appearances (Michigan 23, BC 22, North Dakota 18, Denver 14, CC 10, RPI 5). The East and Northeast combine for 14 (New Hampshire 7, Minnesota Duluth 3, Miami 2, Yale 1, Notre Dame 1).
What does this all mean? Nothing.
