SNC @ Adrian

pete99race

Rocking 'The Stone'
SNC travels to Michigan this weekend for its first ever series on the Bulldog's home ice.
Both teams stumbled last weekend...expect that both games will feature 'playoff' intensity.
Rightfully so, as LFC is lurking just two conference points behind SNC and Adrian.
With a split in Adrian, LFC sweeps Lawrence and we have a three team log jam atop the conference standings..
A group of SNC fans are leaving De Pere early Fri morning for the drive over...looking forward to it.

Re: SNC @ Adrian

Really not much to say about this weekend other than the winner of the series gets the inside track to home ice for the playoffs. SNC absolutely squandered the gift that was given to them last Friday night by Findlandia.

Re: SNC @ Adrian

Take note, this is new threadworthly for sure..should be an awesome weekend to say the least, I kind of wish Oswego would play 2 vs Platty in the same weekend, makes for some good paybacks:p

A lot on the line this weekend....great time of year when the game intensity picks up!!

Re: SNC @ Adrian

Tough to call this one. I'd normally give the edge to Norbert' s but the games are at Adrian, so I'm going to take the easy way out and predict a split. Either way it promises to be a heck of a series of great hockey.

While SNC may be kicking themselves, Adrian has to feel the same way or worse about dropping one to Finlandia. Truth is that neither team can look back. An SNC win last Saturday would have been nice; however, win or lose that game, they still needed at least a split this weekend (outscoring Adrian combined in the two games) to maintain first place in the NCHA. With a win or a loss last Saturday, dropping two to Adrian drops them to 2nd (or 3rd) and splitting keeps them in first (provided their goal differential is better on the weekend). SNC has the head-to-head advantage over LF. Where the loss really hurts them is if they drop both this weekend and find themselves in 3rd place after Saturday night.

Agree on all accounts.

Re: SNC @ Adrian

Just wondering who all might be coming from SN this weekend? Please drive carefully and we look forward to seeing you on campus.

Re: SNC @ Adrian

In order to qualify as a legend you must be able to say "Penticton Pics" three times fast without stumbling.

And then you must be able to talk about the Stratford Cullitons and their history without sounding like Pierre. Then, sir, your visage will be elevated to the rafters in the USCHO posters HOF (D-III wing).

Re: SNC @ Adrian

Norm - you're turning into the Bob Norton of this board.

You say that like it's a compliment. To spare us from yet another thread derailment by those who are compelled to comment on absolutely everything, SNC has outplayed Adrian heavily in every meeting between the two. Yes I know Adrian won once but it wasn't because they controlled play it was because SNC made some awful unforced turnovers during one awful period of play. This has always been a terrible style matchup for Adrian and it wouldn't surprise me if that continued this weekend. New coach at Adrian might make a style difference but I say three points minimum for SNC.

Playing in Adrian "could" be a little different..however in those 5 games as you were talking about:

Avg goals
Adrian : 2.6
SNC: 6

Avg Shots on Goal
Adrian: 19.8
SNC: 36.4
