SNC 2012-13 Regular Season Thread

Re: SNC 2012-13 Regular Season Thread

Just confirmed:
New SNC recruit: Tyler Zepeda.
Forward, 5 - 9 170#.
Played for Waterloo in the USHL for the last couple seasons. One of their top point producers.
Waterloo finished second in the Clark Cup to the Green Bay Gamblers last season.
Played for the highly regarded Hill Murray HS program in Minnesota.
Looks like a very strong recruit.

Looks like a good addition. Gotta love any time you can pick up a player with 3+ seasons of USHL experience.

Re: SNC 2012-13 Regular Season Thread

Anyone know what Jacobson's plans are when hockey officially starts? Is he going to finish the soccer season or come on over to hockey. The soccer regular season ends Oct. 27, three games into the hockey season.

Heard from a very good source that hockey will be his priority.

Re: SNC 2012-13 Regular Season Thread

He played in 7 games and then Cogs reminded him it was "time for hockey" :D
I bet the soccer team will miss him considering he led the team in scoring and shots by a wide margin in the first 7 games.

Not yet, grasshopper...

12 days to go...

right, I meant...time to start thinking about getting ready to start playing hockey. Knowing how superstitious and methodical (read goofy?):p most goalies are, I'm sure it will take the next 12 days just to get back in the right frame of mind;)

No worries he is back in training and his #1 focus is hockey.... :)

Re: SNC 2012-13 Regular Season Thread

Believe it or not, I coached against Jacobson in the state American Legion tournament in La Crosse in 2008. I won't give any details of the score or game, but he did throw out one De Pere basestealer from behind the plate though.
