Q takes a 1-0 lead. Stick save by Tisi, puck goes straight up, hits him on the back and goes in.

SLU 0/1 PP

Re: Slu/qu

Q kills of PP #2.

SLU PP is totally inept without Flanagan, and extremely good with him. What a difference between shifts.

Re: Slu/qu

1-0 Q after one.

SLU got several quality chances, and most of them deflected just wide or high. The offense is looking good at times, but looking good doesn't win games.

SOG 7-5 Q

Re: Slu/qu

Carden carries the puck in shorthanded, and gets tripped from behind. Both of his legs taken out and dumped on his face. No call.

Q takes the puck the other way, sets up, and scores.

2-0

Re: Slu/qu

SLU PP #3. Hughes gets the top of the crossbar.

Several shots, but ZERO shots on goal for SLU 7 minutes into the second.

Re: Slu/qu

Good shift for SLU (other than Caister missing the net for the 12th and 13th time of the game) gets them another PP.

Re: Slu/qu

ANOTHER Q penalty.

I have to admit, SLU has taken about 20 shots through traffic, and every last one of them has deflected high or wide.

Re: Slu/qu

And here we go . . . Bollig for roughing.

Obvious trip behind the net, but after getting 5 PPs already, SLU's not getting another one.

Re: Slu/qu

2-0 after 2.

SOG 17 -9 Q

Shots attempted: about 84-12 SLU

QU will start the third 5x3. They're not playing very well, but they deserve to be ahead for sure.

If only we had 10 penalties in the first then I could say "Hey, a rerun of the Maine game!!!"

Wow! We look flat. Looked okay in the first until Q scored, since there has only been one good shift by SLU. Otherwise.....well, maybe we don't want home ice and a bye??

Re: Slu/qu

is everyone sitting on their hands at appleton tonight? yikes - sounds dead in there on radio.

Yes. That's what you get when the home team gets 9 shots on goal through two periods with six power plays.

I am SO glad I didn't drive 200 miles for this one - this has to be one of the worst hockey games I've ever seen.

After Flanagan's first PP shift in the first, I thought SLU would score 4 or 5. After that . . . some bad bounces, some lazy clears, and a ton of TERRIBLE shots. It's Ryan Glenn night at Appleton. If Caister misses the net by six feet one more time, or McKenzie takes another slapshot from below the faceoff dot on the PP, I'm going to scream.
