Service Academy Hockey Armageddon? Air Force-Army Playoff Series

OK, Maybe a little early, but it looks like Air Force (up 5-0 over Sacred Heart) will jump Mercyhurst (OT loss to UConn) for the #3 seed in the AHA playoffs. Army has clinched the #6 seed regardless of the outcome of their game tonight. That means the two service academies will meet in two weeks for a trip to the AHA Final Four.

Probably not what Army had in mind when Air Force joined the AHA, but it's a chance to make (partial) amends for the 6-1 loss in the AHA Championship Game three years ago.

Let the games begin!
