MINNEAPOLIS — Tom Serratore scored at 13:15 of the third period as Minnesota edged Penn State, 2-1. Travis Boyd got Minnesota on the board at 12:37 of the first, but Penn State’s Curtis Loik answered for the Nittany Lions at 17:14 of the second. Penn State goaltender PJ Musico made 35 saves, while Minnesota goaltender Michael Shibrowski stopped 26.
