SLU starters:
Forwards: Alex Curran, Travis Vermeulen, Brandon Bollig (Mike McKenzie, Jeremiah Cunningham and Kyle Flanagan are on the second line.)

Defense: Jeff Caister, Derek Keller.

Goalie: Robby Moss.

SHU played the capital district tough last week, so this weekend won't be easy against another Atlantic hockey opponent. Puck drops in 35 minutes or so.

Stupid penalty by SHU (jab to the facemask of Flanagan after the whistle). Flanagan hit the inside of the post, but the puck never went all the way over the line. Child almost got another one at the buzzer.

All SLU for the first two minutes or so, but Sacred Heart comes up with a very nice tip play and scores.

Matching minors - SHU goes for "grabbing the face mask." I think he got fifteen yards. Now another Sacred Heart penalty.

Hughes hits the crossbar. Now Child gets his second!

Pitsikoulis sends it across the goal mouth for a tip chance. Tip misses, but Carden's waiting off the far post and finishes nicely.

Who needs defense. SH comes right back and scores. 4-2. I'd like to know shots on goal.

Scramble in front, Sacred Heart player knocks it over Moss from flat on his belly.

4-2, but SLU has completely controlled the game.

Right on cue, Child gets the hat trick.

That puck came out on a rebound and just sat there 12 feet from the goal. Child had all day, wound up, and fired a cannon.

Child with a hat trick. Makes me wonder who/when a SLU d-man last had a hat trick prior to tonight?

Too many men for SHU, and SLU gets a bit of a funky tip for a PP goal.
