It's 2-0 Saints after 1. Flanagan had the first goal and Max Stratford had his first goal of the season. McKenzie has 2 assists.

I am watching my second favorite team (RIT) on TWC in another room. It's 4-0 Tigers late in the first.

Regarding the question last night about the last time a defensemen at SLU scored a hat trick:

It has been 54 years!

From the WDT blog:

<<<"
# Pete Child became the first defenseman since Bob Burke in 1954 to record a hat trick.

# SLU records do not indicate if any other player recorded his first college goal and a hat trick in the same game." >>>

Finding that stat must have kept Wally up all night.

As a proud former North Country boy, I'm going to bet that it has also been a long, long time since we got two goals in one period from two different North Country Freshmen as we have tonight. Flanagan, (from Canton), Stratford, (from Saranac by way of Dad and Grand Dad from Canton.) I was not listening to the game but got a ping from Mac's aunt, Patty (my nursery school classmate) the second he scored. Maybe Bogosian can pick one up for a North Country trifecta.

Thanks....nice stuff. It would have to be 54 years---reminds me of another hockey team I root for.

2-0 Saints after 2. We may have a major upcoming on Armstrong to start the 3rd.

Re: Sacred Heart at SLU Saturday 10/31

Penalty upcoming on Flanagan. Greg's hate's the call, but of course it will stand... SHU's 4th powerplay in the 3rd.
