RPI @ UConn, Wednesday, 1/16/19

Re: RPI @ UConn, Wednesday, 1/16/19

Surprised you didn't tack on the Mayor's Cup to this.

I thought about it and decided to do them separately. I really should start to keep track of which opponents cause these threads to have traffic from more than just us and not bother with others.

Re: RPI @ UConn, Wednesday, 1/16/19

These two teams met very early in the season. UConn won what was essentially a one-goal game, tacking on an empty-netter in the closing minutes for a final score of 3-1.

Even though the Engineers have won only two of their last eleven games, judging from comments on the USCHO message board, I think it's fair to say that many RPI fans feel our team has shown improvement recently.

The Huskies have also won only two of their last eleven. UConn fans don't seem to post on the USCHO message board, so I have no way to judge whether they think their team has improved or not.

This game could serve as a barometer to judge whether RPI has improved as much as some of us think they have.
