RPI @ Notre Dame (11/30/18, 12/1/18)

Re: RPI @ Notre Dame (11/30/18, 12/1/18)

Congratulations to Notre Dame on two wins this upcoming weekend. Please let it still work...

Re: RPI @ Notre Dame (11/30/18, 12/1/18)

RPI's record coming into this weekend is 4-7, which is the mirror image of Notre Dame's 7-4-1 if you ignore the tie. On paper, one would have to expect that FlagDUDE's prediction above is likely to prove accurate.

Notre Dame is ranked eighth in the current USCHO poll. RPI has played only one team that was ranked higher, that being UMass in the first two official games of the season, which the Minutemen swept by scores of 6-1 and 3-1.

If RPI fans want to look for some reason for optimism, we can point to the fact that Union, whom RPI swept in two games a month ago, is ranked eleventh, not that far behind the Fighting Irish.

RPI doesn't have a great team this year, but they can be a lot of trouble for anybody who takes them lightly.

Anyone who's been to South Bend recommend anywhere good to go eat?? Asking for a friend...

FlagDUDETTE and I are planning to go again. Although we have to be careful because of her allergies, there are plenty of restaurants and bistros in and around the arena area; it reminds me a little bit of Collegetown near Cornell, albeit less crowded when we were last there (which was during Shillelagh, so students were mostly out). We'll probably take a side trip to Chicago since there's a place out there we really like.

Thanks, we are heading out a day early and hitting Chicago. Our daughter was to go along as well, but she picked her ballet practice over being dragged to another hockey game.
