Thanks to Jericho for the thread title.

In honor of men's players Simon Kjellberg (Sweden) and Ottoville Leppänen (Finland) and women's players Lilli Friis-Hansen (Denmark) and Ena Nystrøm (Norway).

Edit: Hopefully we will have a Swedish flag for Kjellberg despite the fact that he was born in Nashville while his father was playing there.

Glad to see they fixed it. When they first tweeted it, they said he was a forward, and I was quite confused. What I'm still confused about is why they keep referring to him as a Nashville native when he was born in Sweden and I believe grew up there as well.

He grew up in Sweden, but he was born in Nashville while his father played there.

Re: RPI Hockey 2019 - 2020: Nordic Combined

Just thought of something: Burgess has an extra year of eligibility after this one due to his major injury and missing all of his freshman season. What are the odds he uses it? My guess is it depends on if the Senators want to sign him or not and how successful the team is next season. He could also grad transfer for his final season. Just wondering if there's been a situation like this before and what the outcome was

Right now my guess would be the Sens have 0 interest in using one of their 50 allowed NHL contracts on Burgess. Perhaps a breakout year would change that but does anyone even foresee that?

Re: RPI Hockey 2019 - 2020: Nordic Combined

I forget who asked the question in the Recruit Thread about why Mahshie was wearing a USHL jersey. I answered that he probably attended on of the USHL combines. Combines just completed this week for 05 & 06s. Yes, they get them as young as 13......

That's a wrap on a great 2005 & 2006 USHL Combine! I mean there's no way it'd be an NHL contract, but very few collegiate players play immediately in the NHL after the season. I moreso meant an AHL or even an ECHL deal depending on how they view him. The point remains though. Has this happened before? What was the outcome? What do we think Burgess does?
