About time! Optimistic before the season starts, as always. But this time, I am not even sure why. So many new faces, so many gone, honestly have very little clue what we have here but as we have for 55+ years, we support our boys. Officially for the first time this year - LET'S GO RED!!!

Should I have started this thread earlier? We have had so many off seasons recently, that I forget when the off season ends. ;)

They were not the only ones who survived a near heart attack! i nearly fell off my chair. RPI won 10-9 and blocked a PAT at the end to hold on by stopping a follow up attempt to run the ball in for a 2 point conversion. Ithaca is a very good team and outgained us by an incredible margin. RPI moves to a 5-0 record and 1-0 in the Liberty League. BTW arch nemesis Union lost to Hobart 29-28 which adds to this being a very successful RPI football weekend.

UPEI may have struck first, but QU has really struck back hard, presently up 5-2 around the 51st minute. We're going to be dealing with a PO'd team. Sizable number of penalties, too, so we better hope nothing egregious happens.

Always a concern with these games. Looking at some of the numbers in other games involving Canadian schools; in the WMU game Lethbridge had 16/54....@ SLU, Ottawa had 13/37......Niagara vs York had 17/62 combined. Those were just some.

Just a quick football note. Having won their first 5 games and with only 4 regular season games left to play, the RPI football team has already probably qualified for a post season game of some sort somewhere. They may well be the first team in the country this year to do so!
