LETS GO RED!!!!!!!!

Re: RPI@Harvard 11/10/12

My lower back has been hurting badly from recent snow shoveling, I have a tension headache after Hurrican Sandy kept us without power for 8 days, both knees are telling me the winter is coming, and the stock market destroyed me this past week. But if I take a high enough dose of Vicodin I might be able to sit here and take the pain of listening to the game against Harvard.;)

Seriously-thanks ehf for strting the thread albeit reluctantly. I probably need to have my head examined but i still believe strongly that this team has the makings for a much better season. There is more than enough talent and more than enough depth at most positions. They have to get this all coordinated-everything has to be better. Offensive zone play, defensive positioning, break out play, SPECIAL TEAMS PLAY, goaltending, communication-name any facet of the game you want-it has to be done better. But this group can do it and I am still in a fog as to why it isn't happening (although I have my own suspicions). Hopefully they can make a step forward tonight and if they can-all of my aches and pains will disappear as if by magic. Go Red!!!!:)

Re: RPI@Harvard 11/10/12

SA keeps taking responsibility for the start, and he is a big part of it, but he is not on the ice. These players have way more talent than they are displaying. They seem to be as confused as we are, and it is up to them to get their act together.
I too am not ready to give up on these guys, I think that once they get it figured out, they are capable of going on a run that will get them back to where we thought they should be.
The team was definitely missing JL and LC last night. Not so much for their bodies, but for team chemistry.
That is still not an excuse for the game they played. Someone has to step up when we have injuries.

Since I already agreed with you on the other thread i won't repeat it here. This team has far too much talent-in goal-on defense-up front with the young guns-to be looking and playing like this. SA is a very smart guy and knows all of what we have posted without ever seeing it. Now let's hope he can figure this out and get this team going. In most things in life, $H1T flows uphill and the guys at the top and making the big decisions know that and accept it. Let's see if we can come out and play like we showed against Ferris. Go Red!!

Re: RPI@Harvard 11/10/12

FWIW, I think RPI has a good chance to breakthrough against Harvard tonight. I watched the Union game last night and I was expecting to see a lot more out of Harvard than they showed. They lacked physicality and the goaltending was very suspect. RPI needs to stay out of the box because Harvard does have a pretty decent PP.

Re: RPI@Harvard 11/10/12

If anyone on this thread saw the women's game last night I would appreciate it if you could respond to a question that I just posted over on the women's thread.

Although I wasn't at the game, the rule book was able to help me give you the answer you desired.

Re: RPI@Harvard 11/10/12

A little late... long bike ride? ;)

You know, there's something I've noticed... we've never lost a game that counted this year where Ralph was in attendance, while we've never won when he wasn't... I debunked my jinx last night; I wonder what it would take to debunk Ralph's...

I was at German class. I didn't want to start the thread because of my recent performance.

A win tonight would be much better than me going to Troy and us losing.

Not shocked at all about Leonard and Bradley sitting; they've been bigger sieves than the opposing goaltender.
