It's interesting that both head coaches were assistants for the other school. I wonder if that ever happened before (not counting when RPI faced DU last season).

I see both the game notes and the roster on the RPIathletics website list Jason Kasdorf as a junior.

Was he not granted a redshirt year in view of the fact that he suffered a season-ending injury so early in the season last year?

But he is a junior academically. Schroeder is also listed by his academic year, not his eligibility year. In Kasdorf's case, he may not be back next year, let alone two years from now.

I live about 1000 miles west of Magness so my knowledge is limited, but posted your request on DU's thread.

Asbury Provisions, used to be a great pizza and beer joint, new owners are calling it a gastropub. Haven't been since the change.

The Pioneer -- decent tex-mex and beer

Crimson & Gold -- okay sports bar with okay grub.

Stadium Inn -- cheapest Beam in denver, no food.

There are a bunch of other little places to eat and drink in the area, but those are the faves.

Unrelated - but on Friday night, UNC Greeley Hockey (Club) is hosting DU (Club). The UNC Bears should maul the Pioneers. UNC is off to a 4-0 start. That's the team Tabrum's brother plays on. Their games are streamed online free; one camera view - but free is free

Take University north for 10 minutes to Cherry Creek for lots of good food. Big tailgate in Richie parking lot prior to game Friday. NBC SPORTS will be there with Lombardi Trophy. Kid and adults will attend. Have fun.

Campus Lounge is about 5 minutes north on University. Owned by former DU great and Chicago Black Hawk Jim Wiste. Last time I was there about 2 years ago it was exactly the same as it was in the 1970s. Jim was one of Keith Magnuson's roomies at DU. Place is frequented by a lot of NHL teams when they come to town. Also a good chance some DU hockey alums might be there. Was the late USCHO poster "Jimbo's" favorite spot.

Park Burger is nearby, but make sure to leave enough time because it's always packed even though they recently doubled in size.

Session Kitchen is over there on Old South Pearl too.
