The worst parts of our game yesterday were indeed the worst parts of our game. Usually when Watson plays like he is capable of, as bad as it is, we can be keep it close enough. he was a bit out of sync at times last night (which every one is entitled to be sometimes) and it exposed how poorly our defense and our special teams can be. We were without a couple players last night that i think make a bit of difference in Tinling and Lee and of course the officials had one of our best off the ice for 7 minutes (Hotson). But that also exposes the lack of depth and we simply have to be able to play better against the teams we should be able to beat.

Any updates on Lee? He was out when the flu bug was going through a portion of the team and now that they are reasonably healthy, he’s still out.
it must be an injury but of course Smith won’t say one way or the other. Just thought I’d throw this out to anyone who might have an idea.

The good news: RPI women leading Dartmouth 3-0 after one period and will start the 2nd period with a PP. The really bad news: Erbenova was taken off late in the first period with what looks like a bad injury to the left leg (which resulted in a major cross-checking penalty to Dartmouth). Erbenova missed most of last year and the start of this year with what was also a leg injury if I am not mistaken. RPI goals by Wagner, Hardie, Trnkova.

Girls now up 4-0 (not a misprint!). Clicking on all cylinders for the first time in a while. The injury Hab indicated looked rather severe. Could not see it clearly as it happened behind the net and no replay was ever shown. From what we could tell, the cross check was not that forceful but the fall was awkward and it might have been a hyper extended knee injury.
