Re: RPI @ Colgate, Saturday, 2/23/2013

Go get 'em, Ralph! Time to start a new run!

Our Red are third with a clear path to second. Colgate had an emothional win over Union last night marking the return of Spiro Goulakos , who had a power play goal in their 4-1 win. (Even in recent years, Union's had a poor record at Starr. Neither of us has distinguished ourselves in Hamilton.)

Let's pick ourselves up... we played a good process game but did not get a good result. Some turnovers did us in. Better attention to details and skate our game... let's get points in Hamilton tonight.

Re: RPI @ Colgate, Saturday, 2/23/2013

I decided to wait until 6 AM before starting a thread in case anyone else wanted to start it first.

Damin it Ralph, I wole up a little too late, I was going to mark my return to thread making. Regardles, we will have the women's game senior day today against Colgate live at 4 on WRPI.

Re: RPI @ Colgate, Saturday, 2/23/2013

Different team-different style-hopefully different result. 2 big bad breaks last night-our own doing-a turnover and a fall allowing a break away. We were not that bad a team most of the night. Tonight-another tough place to play-get off to a good start, stay out of trouble with bad penalties-and just win and get out of town. Go Red!

Re: RPI @ Colgate, Saturday, 2/23/2013

Once again, I'm at tonight's game. Yes, RB was correct that I was at Lynah last night. Sorry for not being able to bring you my traditional game resets, RF4L, as I do not have handheld internet access.

New day, new start, let's stay loose out there.

You don't show up to the games. RPI has a win streak going. They go in to Cornell. You are at the game. They lose. Just sayin.

I apologize. I was afraid if I didn't start a thread before I went to class a Colgate fan would, and from past experience when the opponents start the thread it is usually a loss.

What class are you taking? Retirement 101?

German B2? Did they use them in the London Blitz?

Edit: part of my problem is that I can't do all of that in English, e.g. "Can express him/herself on a wide range of topics in a clear and detailed manner, explain his/her position on a current issue and indicate the benefits and drawbacks of various options." I went to RPI because I wanted to avoid such discussions in English. :D We had a discussion about sequestering today. My head hurt.

Ralph, Thanks for starting the thread. :)

I know how our 'practices' go. I had a nice run for a few weekends. Last night's loss gives someone else the opportunity to start the thread. :) It seems you and I are the only ones who are up late and also up early. ;) Start us on a new winning streak, Ralph! And , as my memory serves me, you are right to say when someone from an opponent's school starts the thread, we are generally not happy with the results.

Re: RPI @ Colgate, Saturday, 2/23/2013

Reposted from women's thread....RPI cannot play Harvard, Harvard can't finish second. They can either finish first or third. They lose a tiebreaker with Clarkson. The standings: if Cornell wins and womenClarkson wins, then it is 1.) Cornell 2) Clarkson 3.) Harvard. If Cornell wins and Harvard wins, we have to wait until Tuesday when Harvard plays Yale. If H wins that game, then it is 1.) H 2) Cornell 3) Clarkson. RPI will either go to Lynah or Cheel.

Jericho: Listening to Ryan doing the play-by-play here at the fieldhouse... he's doing OK, but can you remind him that a team's "zone" is the zone they're defending, not the zone they're attacking in? He seems to have them swapped.

Yes. That is on the list. He's doing well though for his first time. At least he's getting the teams right. :p

I love the language-but I have never been a strong language student. I just have learned enough German to read some of the interesting things about our cars. We have pretty much limited ourselves to the 5 major German brands now for some time. Nothing against cars made elsewhere, but Jenny being very petitie has special requriements in seating position so she can both reach the pedals and see over the dash-and for some reason, only the Germans seem to still construct their cockpits and seats so that she can do just that.
i don't think we can count on any other help in the ECAC tonight-last night most games went in our favor except our own. We have to get going early and make few if any mistakes. Colgate has just too much offense to get into a high scoring game. Hold them under 3, score 3 or more and get on the bus for home. Go Red!!
