RPI has played four games this year that ended in shootout losses. The NCAA counts all of these as ties.

I'm curious as to why the thread-starting statistics count only two ties.

I asked that same question previously. Ralph answered on the thread. He keeps score so it remains his decision.

I ignore the NCAA. :-D
As I wrote the last time, in the off season, I will ask what I should do in the future. A problem is that the NCAA and ECAC don't do the same thing. At the moment, I count league games as either wins or losses, and in non-league games the shootout is ignored although the OT counts.

To be honest, the best thing might be to stop doing this at all. What I don't want to do, although I will if it is the consensus, is count games as 3 points total as this would overvalue the current and future seasons against the earlier ones.

I was told there would be no math.

Outshot by a considerable margin but fairly even play for the most part. Did not look good for most of the power play even though we did get one goal. Hard to follow this camera work and the play by play guy actually gives a bit too much information. Will probably only get to see part of the second period before heading home from the pub. We need to win more of the face offs and continue to avoid taking any penalties to have success tonight.

One power play goal was as good as it got. First period ended 1-1.

Colgate had a 13-6 advantage in shots on goal.

RPI's power play goal was scored by Heidemann, with assists to Agnew and Sertti.

The player charged with the 5-minute major was Nick Anderson, the same guy who scored Colgate's goal.
