RPI at Yale, Friday December 5th

Re: RPI at Yale, Friday December 5th

In six league games thus far, RPI has scored 14 goals and given up 11, while Yale has scored 13 and given up 12.

Seems as though both teams play with the idea that they are going to try to win by a score of 2-1.

First goal of any hockey game is always important, but probably even more so in a game between teams that play the way these two have.

Re: RPI at Yale, Friday December 5th

Considering that we have only scored first 3 times this season that may not be a good sign.

It doesn't sound like we are healthy with Melanson, Nanne, Kasdorf, and Schroeder in various degrees of probability that they won't play. (Did I miss anyone?)

Wow, every week it is someone else. You have to ask if we will ever be a healthy team.
At least the defense is healthy and Diebold is a good and experienced goalie. We are going to have to be very stingy this weekend.

Re: RPI at Yale, Friday December 5th

With all those injuries, the healthy guys need to put in 110%. I've enjoyed watching Melanson play and he will be missed tonight. Big opportunity for the team to pull together and get this done. LGR!

Just signed up of an Ivy League (video) monthly pass. $15.99 will get you this weekends games and the Harvard game later this month.

I will watch tonight along with you-not sure if the Brown game tomorrow would be included in the monthly pass so holding off on that for now. Besides, not sure we will get back in time for that game which is scheduled to be early.

Agree completely. We will have to really find other ways to create offense as Melanson has really been a spark and continued to play well even without the great chemistry with Nanne. Defense will just have to be outstanding and give us a chance to keep this a one goal game.
