Both teams suffered from the dreaded second period blues on Friday night.

The Engineers watched a 1-0 lead turn into a 3-1 deficit during the second period of their game with UMass, eventually losing, 5-3.

The second period also cost the Huskies in their game with Army. All the scoring in that game took place in the second period, with UConn coming out on the short end, 2-1.

We’ll see which team does a better job of playing a full 60 minutes on Saturday.

Will not be around for this one. Since we really do not know how good UMass is yet as compared to their team of last year, really hard to know what our performance meant yesterday. But, 40 minutes of it was darn good and certainly better than last year against them. Now if we can play the full game like that today, we may split this weekend.

This thread is going to be awfully quiet today. At best, I will be in and out.
If we can play a full sixty minutes this afternoon, we should come out on top.

Okay, now I'm hearing that this link only works if you sign up for a free trial. You can do that and cancel afterward, though, and it still won't cost anything to watch this game.

This place is dead. I was here during the lowest years of the Whalers and it still had a loud crowd. This is barely one step above going to a Sacred Heart game. It doesn’t help that they just had a between periods celebration putting up a banner for their 2000 MAAC championship.

The women were shutout by PSU 3-0. That's one goal in six games. :eek:
