Goodbye off season!!!!!

The women have kicked off 2013-2014 already and the men are ready to hit the ice next week. Here's hoping that this last season in the Ritter gives us all lots of great memories.

Looking forward to this year...Hitting the women's games this weekend in NH and MA. Wish the men could make it out east for more than two games a year.

Last year I thought Noyes was not so good to start and then slowly righted himself to be "good" by end of year. If RIT makes some noise this year he needs to start good and finish great. I love puns :D

I agree that Noyes and the rest of the defensemen will be the key for the Tigers success. Hopefully having a bigger class will mean that players will need to play better to keep their spots.

New to the forum, joined because I heard a rumor around campus for two recent suspensions for the entire year, potential third one as well...anyone else hear anything?

Interesting. So far nothing on the roster page indicates 2-3 less players, I'll have to check twitter.

Any chance these rumors are related to Watson and Potts leaving and the campus is just late to the party on why they are gone?

Yep, last year too. had a 2g-36a-38pt line that had him in the top 10 for defensemen in the league. He did play some D for RIT when the injuries thinned out the lines. Also played D his last season in the USHL too.

Can we stop with the Cameron Burt bashing? Burt was a really good player who I think some of us placed unrealistic expectations on after his sophomore year.

Watson decided not to play his senior year. He is graduating in December and will go pro after.

If this is truly what happened, why wouldn't they have said anything? This isn't necessarily a bad thing, especially because some here thought he was leaving because he didn't want to compete for the starting spot.

I'm not bashing on Burt the forward. I'm bashing on Burt the defensemen. He never looked particularly strong on D, even when he was on point for the power plays. I'm assuming he has since improved his game.

Just because he's leaving early and going pro sooner doesn't excuse the possibility that he didn't want to compete for a spot with the Tigers. Maybe he felt it was unattainable.. or maybe he felt it wasn't worth his time.
