Will Golden, a young kid from my hometown of Cohasset, MA and a freshman forward on the Skidmore hockey team, was killed in an accident at the University of Delaware over the weekend. I didn't know him; apparently he entered high school the year after I graduated. Will was a two sport athlete at Cohasset High and won a state championship with the Lacrosse team. After graduation, he spent a year playing junior hockey in the USPHL-Premier and the EHL. According to eliteprospects.com, Will had 3 goals and 2 assists in 13 games for the Skidmore Thoroughbreds this season. Another tragedy in DIII hockey after what happened at Geneseo earlier this year. My thoughts are with his family.
