Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #171: On Turkeys.

Where's the option for "Most likely watch my team's fading playoff hopes end while Fairley and Sue pound our backup quarterback into the turf?"

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #171: On Turkeys.

Oh yeah, and shopping. Might be getting a new, larger TV for the den.

New stainless dishwasher (been changing out the kitchen from white) or a new flatscreen for the den?

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #171: On Turkeys.

Gurt: easy decision, you get the bigger TV. Surely there is a woman to be the dishwasher! *ducks*

I won't be doing much for Thanksgiving. I'll be traveling home from the boat (pretty sure, could still change.) So cooking a decent meal probably won't be in the cards on TurkeyDay proper.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #171: On Turkeys.

TDay will be spent at my brother's in-laws (yes, Madre will be with me; her ex has the kids that day) and then on Fri it is a 2nd TDay with Madre and her kids.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #171: On Turkeys.

I don't have my plans set for Thanksgiving Day yet. It might turn out to be a day at home to just veg out or get some house cleaning done. I'll be sure to have some deli meat on hand, just in case.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #171: On Turkeys.

My Thanksgiving will be spent with just my immediate family at my parents. We'll eat fairly early, and then it's off to Lincoln for the Iowa/Nebraska game which is on Black Friday.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #171: On Turkeys.

My brother and his college roommate are staying with me the Friday & Saturday after Thanksgiving. They're coming up for football vs. aOSU. That leaves me with not enough time to go to Texas for turkey day. So as of now, I have no plans. My aunts who I'd spend t-day with are going to Florida for my cousin's graduation.

Since I have no where to go (and am bitter/lonely/depressed about it) I'm thinking I'll be part of the problem and go shopping on Thanksgiving day.

Leave them a key under the mat and go to Texas for Thanksgiving or go to Florida for the graduation and Thanksgiving.

Right below the option for "most likely watch my team snatch defeat from the jaws of victory in a winnable game while Fairley and Suh rack up six-figure fines by taking turns stepping on the quarterback's neck and kicking him in the jimmy."

Oh, I see it now. :D

Apparently threads are starting to lock again.

Spending Thanksgiving with family in Canton. Eating turkey, watching the Lions * themselves in the * with a snow shovel, then later watching people try to launch a pumpkin a mile in the air somewhere in East Bum****, DE.

Going to Grand Forks to spend it with all of my siblings and mom, including my older brother who thinks that the world will cease to exist if he is away from his job for more than a weekend and never shows up for family gatherings. Sioux hockey Friday and Saturday. We are a little unlike most families - we all get along well. :)
