I just said out loud, "OHH" as I saw this new thread. Never thought I'd see TWO QU threads in one season on here. Except maybe a, "FIRE RAND" thread a few years back.

They certainly did. Minny won big against Denver tonight but I think we'll hold on to the top spot in the polls. More importantly, we're still #1 in the PairWise, and that's all that matters. Some of the bracketologists seem to think we have a #1 seed wrapped up for the tourney. I'll believe it when I see it.

We can't get ahead of ourselves here, either. We need 2 good quality wins on the weekend of the 15th and move on to Atlantic City. Then we can worry about the regionals and beyond. Like Fred says: "One shift, one period, one game."

Yup, it us really amazing that QU is the #1 seed in the ECAC Tournament. Wow!

They have come a long, long way from Sunday night games that the schedule card said would begin at 9:00 PM, and you get to the high school rink and there was still public skating going on; both teams used the same shower and there were more people on the ice than in the stands.

#1 in the ECAC, #1 in the land Wow! Congrats Coach Pecknold and all at QU and good luck with BOTH tournaments!

That was a big win last night. A week off, it's much better to be thinking about a win than a loss.

I really like the mental makeup of this club. Nothing seems to get them off-kilter.

They have bounced back from adversity all season long... well, at least since AIC. If they could have figured that out during games, the streak might still be going.

Anyway, I agree that they're playing as much with their heads as they are with their bodies. Really smart decisions last night. There really is something special about this group that we haven't seen at Quinnipiac in a long time, if ever.

Couldn't be any happier with the way the Bobcats played at Dartmouth (well, except yet another game Hartzy plays great without nabbing a shutout). It's exactly what the team needed after two sub-par performances against Brown and Harvard heading into a bye week. All of a sudden, my confidence is back. Thx guys.

Go Bobcats!

With the bye in the ECAC Tournament this weekend, the Bobcats might be #1 next week too!

What's really weird is that the two teams that had never received a bye since the adoption of the Union Rule get #1 and #2.

Good luck in the tourney... unless we are playing for an ECAC championship.

The poll ranking really means nothing at this point. It's all about PairWise going forward. My guess would be they stay at #1 unless they lose the 2nd round series, in Atlantic City, or in the regional. Otherwise, they'll be doing exactly what's expected, and those behind will need to catch/stay up with us.

While it's been an absolute joy to be a fan of the #1 team for the past 4 weeks, I've personally tried to temper it all for the bigger picture. A #1 seed, or better yet, THE #1 seed are what I see as the important ranking.

I fully expect Q to have the #1 overall seed. I hope the boys turn that into a Frozen 4 trip. This is their chance.

Just picked up tickets to Game on the 16th. Had to get 2 singles though with the students on break good chance I may be able to sit with my buddy in a half empty sutdent section.

Its quite peaceful and quiet from the top looking down.

I know I'm a jinx, but is it too early to start planning the party in Providence yet?
