Providence College 2025-26 Official Season-Long Thread

Hate to see Bales go elsewhere, a plus 14 in about 26 games that he skated, and in my opinion he had been gaining confidence and improving his game.

Simpson and McEnery now too. I think 3 of the 4 are easily replaceable. Baldwin is coming in on D.

Sisson de-committed and is heading to UML so that's disappointing. Interested to see what CHL players are brought in next season.

Good 3 years AND alternate captain... never in a million years did I expect to see that news today.

There's been some chatter on Twitter about those who transfer out because they got 'cut' vs. those looking for greener pastures. PC also just got a centerman from WHL

Malinoski entering the portal?!?!?!?!??!?!?!??!

If he is out this one stings. I like him and think he's a good team first guy. His first half of the season was pretty uneven but he came on strong in the second half which, coincidentally, is where PC built their momentum. Other factors involved but his play was much improved from first half.

Not a fan of the portal - regardless of it hurting or benefitting PC - because it feels like a waste to recruit some players hard just to lose them after a year. Look at PC basketball as an example. Sure, a new coach but they had ONE player remaining after the new coach was hired.

I'd be curious if they dip into the NHL draft prospects again, like with McQueen, if a kid drafted last year needs some more work or playing time to improve his game, Maybe not a first rounder this year, possibly less of a chance of losing that player after one season.

I agree not a fan of the portal, though understand when kids who receive minimal ice time bolt.

Unless there's an easier-to-browse site for past year's transfer portal, it looks like PC wasn't very active in it. Only one showing they brought in was Ross, who is right back in the portal this year. Not surprised they're not active, but is it a bad approach to focus on bringing in players out of the CHL over the Portal?
