I'll disagree with the assertion in the last thread that there is very little fact-checking in these threads. For example, Kepler posted this yesterday:

I mean, Trump only publicly attacked a trade unionist last week. I'm not a trade unionist, so what reason could I possibly have to care about that?

Electing Trump President is like buying a used car from Shifty's Auto Sales. Once you drive it off the lot, you own it even though you should have known better.

Yeah, I'm in that boat too. Been spending too much time defending people with our votes who clearly don't mind getting screwed.
The odd, odd thing in all of this is that a lot of the class warfare charges being thrown around are correct. Not about the poor, but about the wealthy. Or at least the upper middle class. We get 5 weeks paid vacation, matching contributions on our 401K, big tax deductions for our mortgages, 16 weeks maternity/paternity leave, year end bonuses on top of our salaries - blah blah blah. Yet, the good citizens of Kentucky in this article as well as people in Ohio, WVA, Michigan, etc decided to level the playing field by voting for...Trump.

Nope its me...and I am dead serious. I said it after the election when is came out how many nimrods in Michigan voted R or didnt vote at all...if you dont have time and brains to vote and protect yourself screw off. Flint Michigan can kiss my *** for what they did. They knew what their choice meant, and despite the fact that it put into office (and gave ultimate power to) a party that is responsible for poisoning them proves they dont deserve any empathy anymore.
It is time for the Liberals to grow up...we cant save the world. If a bunch of people in Tex-Arkana and Pennsyltucky want to breathe in coal dust and drink motor oil in their water we need to let them. We arent 16th Century Missionaries...we arent on a quest to save the soul of the masses in the name of the Lord (cause that worked out so well in the New World) if people dont want to be saved time to let them reap what they sow. Let the sick be sick, let the stupid be stupid and let them change if THEY want to. If a bunch of nimrods want to elect Trump despite his daily assertions he will repeal the one thing they care about...that is their business. They have 4 years to deal with it and then they can try again. If they are too stupid to learn then that is their problem.
