Due to his name change, I bet his post count wasn't top 100, as was mentioned before this. Cumulatively, his post count would have qualified him, I reckon.

IMO it should be Rover and bbdl, if we are following the true nature of PoTY. FD is too obvious, like mookie and Old Pio.

Can't he get an emeritus exemption? Like the Masters? Or even a "You've done so 'well' this year that we're including you on principle alone."

Well, over 70% of the voters have indeed indicated they do NOT want FlagDUD as PoTY. Anyone who has PoTY Finalist in their signature without ever having actually won the "honor" should be automatically disqualified, in my humble opinion as well.

Perhaps so, but there is a rumor that a schizophrenic who posts on the board has two screen names so that he can argue with himself....
