Portable MP3 players.

Frankenstein's Monster
Thought I would throw this out here to get an answer from some of the tech heads around here. As I've mentioned before, I'm currently studying to become a massage therapist, and one of the things most of us have is some sort of system to play some calm soothing music while we're working with a client. I want something that would have room for a good selection of stuff, but I would also would want to keep some songs off of my random play list because I don't think I would really want say some Ozzy or Pantera to come up after a long set of peaceful water sounds or Chinese string music when I'm in the middle of a session. Also, I would also would like it if it also had a big clock display or even a timer perhaps, so I can keep track of time there when I'm working on somebody. And of course, I would need a set of speakers to go with it as well, they wouldn't need to be able to rattle windows, but be able to withstand getting moved around a lot. So, what are your suggestions??

Re: Portable MP3 players.

My first thought is something like an iHome with an iPod of some sort. I haven't looked at any of them for a while but check Walmart, Target, Kohl's, etc. or Apple's website for details.

iPod. You can make playlists so you'd be able to keep your work stuff separate. Plus, there are quite a few products out there made for it that will play it over speakers.

I'll second that. I personally prefer the touch, it has a large clock display (not sure if the others do) as well as a solid state drive which is great if you want to take it to run or workout. I've found the wifi capability much handier than I expected it to be as well.
