Podcasts: Let's keep the alternative mattress industry going strong!

Jon

Say, this is nice.
I don't think I've started a thread for years in the Cafe.

What podcasts are people listening to in this time of quarantine? Every time I start listening to a college hockey podcast, it stops. So any suggestions there?

And for those of you in MN, the series about Jacob Wetterling was excellent, one of the seasons of In the Dark

Re: Podcasts: Let's keep the alternative mattress industry going strong!

Gladwell is annoying as **** but I still tell people about the French fries thing about 18 months after I heard it. Also remember enjoying the Elvis stuff and golf course economics
He is always way too sure of himself, but I like the variety of topics he delves into - I learn things from every podcast.

Re: Podcasts: Let's keep the alternative mattress industry going strong!

Malcolm Gladwell is a stupid person's idea of a smart person. He's the Newt Gingrich of pop science.

I don't know if he's ever been accused of being smart, but I always have the feeling he's trying to sell me a used Dodge as if HE thinks he's talking to idiots but he will humor us until we catch on.

Like I said. Newt.

Like I said. Newt.

I love podcasts, but the degree to which everyone is trying to sell me a mattress, Square space, and or health supplements is a bit much.

There was one company that was trying to sell some sort of homeopathic Viagra that was very appropriately advertising constantly on "My Dad Wrote a Porno." ;)

I can’t believe I never knew “Soul Music” exists. Happily that means I have plenty of catching up to do. And the second episode, from back in January 2008, covers the greatest composition of all time.
