Pakistan-India Test Match

So this is like throwing a lit match around a puddle of gasoline under an entire shelf full of fireworks isn't it?

One misstep by either side and we have the biggest conflict since Vietnam (or do we get to WWII levels right off the bat?).

I mean I have absolutely no idea how the largest dogfighting battle in recent history doesn’t qualify on its own as a major misstep, but what the fuck do I know? Buckle up.

I thought that with modern jets, any "dogfights" would have separations between craft of hundreds of miles? Where's our resident actual jet engineer?

Indian TV is lurid.

They seem to have reached Idiocracy before even us.

It did:

"The use of advanced missiles and modern fighter jets has expanded the traditional notion of dogfights—once defined by close-range movements—to include long-range scenarios described as beyond-visual-range (BVR).

According to CNN, long-range missiles were exchanged at distances exceeding 100 miles. "That's close by kind of aircraft standards. In an ideal sense, you know, you still might be looking to be destroying your target at multiple hundreds of miles," Ladwig said.
"

This is still called dogfighting, in the modern usage of the term.
