Re: PairWiseSM Comparisons (PWC) released

Remember the teams are listed in winning percentage order, and to get the most information from them you need to look at the individual comparisons, although this year Ed has put rankings for OWP, OOWP, and ranked teams on the front page. You still need to get behind the numbers for the other factors, namely H2H and COP.

Nice job of putting more info up front.

Re: PairWiseSM Comparisons (PWC) released

In the head to head comparisions, what does the PWR number for each team stand for and how is it computed?

Re: PairWiseSM Comparisons (PWC) released

Its a comparison of each team vs every other team on the 6 criteria the NCAA uses. If you get more points than the other team, you win the individual comparison and get the point.

D3 doesn't exactly work this way as they 'look into the numbers', so winning 3 categories closely and losing 3 by a lot may not equal a tie. Or something. They don't come out and say how exactly they apply the criteria so who knows. The pwr is an approximation of the criteria as stated, but shouldn't be taken as the end all be all of the selection and seeding process.

Re: PairWiseSM Comparisons (PWC) released

The MASCAC is missing from the national PWC (along with any results from games against MASCAC teams).

Anyone know why?
