Ohio State @ Minnesota State 10/28 - 10/29

After last weekend's trip to North Dakota, a statement by a former hoops coach comes to mind. "Forget your mistakes, but remember what they taught you." Our Buckeyes need to turn their attention toward the Mavericks. I think we come out with fire in our eyes this week and get a sweep in Mankato.

Ohio State defeated Minnesota State earlier tonight in Mankato by a final score of 2-1. Goals were scored by Kelly Wild and Ally Tarr.

Great to see the team bounce back with a win!

All road points are precious, of course. But this game seemed especially important. We really needed to get back on the right track after last weekend's setbacks.

Don't really know anything about the game beyond the boxscore. Will be interested in the stories and details as they come out...

Brooky, thanks for the info. Read that earlier on ohiostatebuckeyes.com. Hokey Langan with the game winner. Great to get all the points on the road, even if it is Minnesota State. Last year we got swept at home by Minnesota State.

Way to go, Buckeyes; congrats on the sweep!

Noticed on brookyone's link that Mankato designates three official stars. For Saturday night's game:

#3 Star: Danielle Butters, Minnesota State
#2 Star: Lisa Steffes, Ohio State
#1 Star: Hokey Langan, Ohio State

Rewarding the shutout and the GWG in a 1-0 game may not be rocket science. Nevertheless, the recognition is appreciated. Thanks to the MSU people for making the effort.
