NSN and Middlebury College Partner for Coverage of Panther Sports

If locals can get to the games, they should, but I think you're forgetting some important people, like the parents of the athletes who fork over quite a bit of money for their kids to play. I think they deserve to see them play when they cannot make the trip up.

Not only that but the potential of NEW recruits is HUGE. No ofense to Midd but they've been having a hard time getting people there with OUT broadcasting. Being watched online is the LEAST of their worries.

Students go because they want to. Having it online may keep a couple people home but the pros heavily outweigh the cons.

I am sure that it will work the same as the prior provider Bullpen Media that did GoMiddTV. If men's and women's soccer are on at the same time, then there will be separate URLs to click on to get each broadcast. Football could overlap at the same time no problem, too. Also, it shouldn't subtract that many locals while at the same time allowing parents and alumni the opportunity to watch the games from considerable distance.

Not to mention the alumni who paid big $ to go to school there and want to follow the fortunes of their alma mater's teams even if they don't live anywhere near the area. Middlebury has plenty of such grads. (even if some of them can't spell :D)

Now Prof, people who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones!
