Northeastern Huskies 2015-2016 Part Duex: Enjoy the Ride at the Gahden Party!

Re: Northeastern Huskies 2015-2016 Part Duex: Enjoy the Ride at the Gahden Party!

More importantly, the guys didn't miss him in the locker room or on the ice. We scored more without him than with him. I expect that if has any success, he'll play one year at most for the goophers . He'll pick up his degree (if he has any smarts at all) and offer himself up to the pros before he ages out of the game entirely.

Why in the world did he think this was a good move. Unreal. Glad he is gone.

He appeared to be the kind of individual who was easily influenced. He had broken several commitments in the Junior ranks. He specialized in receiving and acting on bad advice!

Unless he has a spectacular season with Minny next year, his pro future is probably as fodder in a lower minor league. IIRC, he'll be 26 next year and that's getting old in terms of how NHL clubs regard prospects.

So he has been eligible before, usually if you don't go year 1 you don't go year 2. He did have a great year, he will be back.

Yeah, but except for the first few picks, the scouts are clueless. Shayne Gostisbehere went undrafted his first year of eligibility, and now he's killing it in the pros. I think Kevin Roy wasn't drafted until his second year of eligibility, after he broke the USHL scoring record. For the first-year eligible guys, they make a lot of choices based on size so they can justify their pick to management. It's as though the game hasn't changed from when goons mattered. I think Nolan has done enough to go as an over-ager in the fourth round (and he has good size).
