Northeastern 2025-26: After Hours at the Old Barn

Anyone know offhand if the gigantic Konyatron will be installed in the new place?
That will probably depend on the shape and height of the new rink. Perhaps there is or will be a simulation video which will show the sight lines from the upper level seats.
On a different subject: l had to miss the Beanpot last due to a broken foot, but I seem to remember loge tickets costing ~$50. This year on the NU website they are offered for $70, or $140 the pair. Is that possible? That would be a 40% hike!

Got mine for the 2 weeks at $130 from BU. I have no idea what price they were last year but my first thought seeing the new price was "wow, this seems more than before." Still a bargain compared to the Bruins!

2024: $95
2025: $105
2026: $130

Maybe the new revenue sharing has something to do with it? Just spitballing. Aside from BC, these athletic departments don't have a ton of money coming in.

The renderings show a traditional scoreboard, more like what you would see at Agganis or TD Garden. Not sure if its the same size as the one at Agganis, maybe a little bit smaller. But i can't imagine using old electronics as an integral part of the new place. Plus, those things always seem to be upgraded every 5 or 10 years. I think the one at Agganis is certainly not the original one.

It's the third one!

Apparently, a signature piece of Matthews will have a prominent place in the new building:

Ironically, the archway was plastered over and lost to time until a major renovation unexpectedly uncovered it after NU purchased the building.

Prices for the Beanpot have certainly jumped. I'm not sure who sets the price but it's the Beanpot - already sold out. Be warned though, Hockey East tickets have also increased notably. Attendance for that could go either way depending on which teams make it to the Garden.
