That makes sense. Now that the oil boom is crashing, North Dakota is basically a black hole.

I heard they were going to honor the oil boom and their love of ice fishing by calling the team the Bakken Iceholes.

As a statistician I find this an affront to my heritage and I should note that they have neither sought permission from my tribe nor the computer science tribe with whom we share this sacred name. We feel the permission granted by the business management tribe is neither appropriate nor binding as they do not represent the spirit of our peoples.

There was a Forum article recently (out of Fargo, of course) saying the name might and could well be the Green Meadowlarks. Barf me out with Treflan! If they do that, I might turn into a Gopher fan.

Along with those south of the Headwaters of the Mississippi. Thus my submission of Breakdancing Hippos will unfortunately not be considered.
